A rare original model sheet from the Disney Studios Mickey Mouse animated short "The Pointer" (1939). Featuring the comparative sizes of Pluto and woodland creatures, including skunks, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and raccoons, the graphite and ink drawings were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Original model drawings are photocopied at the studio and distributed to ensure character consistency among animators, and are much rarer than their photocopied counterparts. Measuring 15"x18.25" overall, the sheet is in very good condition with age-related discoloration, edge and corner wear, including pinholes from studio use, graphite smudging, production-related adhesive staining where some drawings are missing, and light surface tears to the reverse.
