An original production background from the Filmation Studios animated series, "The Adventures of Superboy" (1966-1968). Featuring a vivid and otherworldly landscape, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode entitled, "King Superboy" which aired on September 28, 1968. Measuring 10.5"x32.75" overall, the background is in very good condition with light handling wear, edge wear in various places, and some minor tearing in the lower left corner.
